Embroidery services
Polo shirt, shirt &
schoolwear embroidery.
The most common job we do, and the one where digitising quality shows up most obviously. A left-breast logo is small — usually 8cm wide — so every compromise in the stitch file is visible from a metre away.

Worth knowing
A few things
we’ve learned.
Small text that stays readable
Below about 5mm, standard lettering fills in and turns to mush. We redraw small type with adjusted spacing and column widths so a strapline or a web address still reads cleanly at 4mm.
Crests rebuilt, not traced
School and club crests are usually supplied as a low-resolution scan. We rebuild them properly in thread — shields, mottos, dates and all — and keep the file so next year's intake matches this year's exactly.
Knitted fabric moves
Piqué stretches under the needle, which is what causes wavy, distorted logos. Correct backing and pull compensation in the stitch file is the whole difference between a flat badge and a puckered one.
One item is fine
A single embroidered polo for a new starter costs the same per unit as the small run tier. We won't price you out of a one-off.
